Should workers have a legal right to ignore their boss after hours?

Texts, calls and emails all count.

Yes. Make America Great Again by returning to how it worked before technology. No way to contact your employees via a midnight slack message.

Not wanting to work hard is a "Make America the 3rd World" mindset

With all our wealth why aren't we allowed to relax?

No

If I'm hourly and clocked out, absolutely.

But salaried workers need this too! I hate my job enough as it is. Forcing me to work at night would be a nightmare.

”would” is the key word. You don’t have to do that. And if they did, you could find a job with better hours. That’s the free market.

Companies know most workers can't just walk away which is exactly why protections exist.

There's a limit. We can't regulate every single situation in every job.

fair. unless being on call is a job requirement, the laptop can stay closed
