Should social media be banned for kids under 16?

Would you support a nationwide age limit, even if parents disagree?

No. Parents should decide

I get the impulse, but how do you enforce it without making everyone upload an ID? Some don't get an id til 18+, and if not, kids will still lie about their birthday. Instead ban the addictive design tricks.

I'd rather see limits on endless scroll, autoplay, late night notifications and targeted ads to minors. Those rules would be easier to enforce than trying to verify every teenager's identity online. And to do that you basically need to verify every single persons identity.

No blanket ban. For some isolated kids, online communities are one of the few places they can find people who understand them.

No. Kids need gradual access not zero access to full internet mayhem on an arbitrary day.

No imo, but maybe force social media to provide robust parent controls for kids
