Cops sit in speed traps and rack up tickets for going 8 over. Roads would be safer with actual driving skill. Its a cash grab pure and simple.

Exactly why you can't trust the government. If ticket money feeds the same town budget that controls enforcement, you've built an incentive system.
Keep laws for reckless driving, school zones, running lights and the stuff that actually gets people killed. Sitting behind a sign where the limit drops from 55 to 40 is insane.
