A kid cusses out a teacher, throws a chair, or spends the period making everybody miserable and the first move is always trauma, diagnosis, more meetings. Sometimes the kid just has no rules at home and figured out we will not do anything either.
Kids must have consequences. You can care about a kid and still send them out of the room or suspend them.
