Every time they bump it, small stores cut hours or stop hiring. Then everyone acts surprised when those same people can't get a job.
Not to mention it directly causes inflation when they have to raise prices to pay their employees more.

Yeah and a single national wage minimum is especially dumb. Labor markets and living costs vary wildly. Minimum wage in Manhattan should not be the same as Nebraska.
