They'll be a distraction if they have them at school. Allowing them between classes means they'll be trying to sneak looks during class.

They'll sneak looks no matter what the rule is. They're kids. Pretty simple.

Between classes seems fine. Teachers just can’t let it slide in class. Have some backbone.

Lock em up from first class to end of day.

cool until one goes missing. just make everyone put their phone in a basket during class

All day seems excessive.. some kids use phones for glucose monitors or other accessibility stuff. I'd go with out of sight during class

Of course medical needs get exceptions. Schools already handle that. Everyone else's phone can stay put until dismissal.

I still don't see the benefit of banning them during lunch or free periods

Parents also need to stop texting their kids all day and expecting instant replies. They're a part of the problem
