Calling the increase "tiny" before anyone knows how high prices will go is doing a lot of work here.

Easy to say when you never have to choose between filling the tank and buying groceries. Trump is so out of touch.

Uhh no thanks. At this point it seems like higher gas prices ARE the objective of this war. Telling people to just accept it isn't a plan.

Chill, it's temporary.

Wars and "temporary" price hikes both have a habit of sticking around longer than promised.

He went from treating the price at every gas station as a presidential approval rating and now we're supposed to view it as a noble sacrifice. How convenient.
Share
If this sacrifice is supposedly so necessary, he can ask Congress to authorize it and explain the actual goal. "Pay more and trust me" isn't remotely good enough.

Gas is more than the number on the sign. It gets baked into farming, trucking, groceries, and about anlmost else. Calling it a tiny sacrifice doesn't make the bills tiny.
