Checking citizenship before someone votes should be basic housekeeping, not a national crisis. SCOTUS got this one right 6-3. Just give lawful voters a quick way to correct database errors.

Because you can cheat. You can vote for someone who died or illegals can vote. Just look at how thousands of illegals were accidentally registered to vote in NJ
