3Beta update #3 - related posts and bounce rate Knowledge dot sexy metaIt's been two weeks since my last update, and from now on the updates will come once every one or two weeks, depending on when updates are completed. One of the major issues I've noticed so far is that the bounce rate is extremely high for some posts. This means that users visit certain posts directly (via a link they have from an ad, someone sharing it with them, organic search etc) are unlikely to stay on the site, and leave after viewing that one post. As a result, I implemented a related posts feature which shows posts that are trending and related to the post that is being viewed. On some of the worst pages, there has been about a 5% improvement. I strongly believe that small, incremental updates like this will take this site to success. Here's a visualization of the effect that "Related Posts" has had so far on the worst offenders: It seems small, but along with improved content in the future I am hopeful that the trend will continue. The next changes I'm working on are a demo that will allow people to fully comprehend the power of components, and after that a continual email campaign that will attempt to drive users back to the site!@john526 views6/5/2019
